As with everyone, having this disease is bad enough, without having to suffer the loss of hair and thus losing your anonymity, just when anonymity is what we need.
Michael and Iain make the transition to wearing a wig as natural and easy as possible, and understand that even for a man, baldness isn’t something you have to suffer in public.
From the very first phone call with my wife Helen, Michael and Iain were sympathetic, knowledgeable and so willing to listen. When we met Michael immediately put us both at ease and couldn’t have been more attentive and caring. Not only that, both Michael and Iain know what they are talking about and we were happy to be guided by their expertise.

Having been diagnosed with cancer and the chemotherapy treatment I was concerned about the inevitable hair loss and how that may impact my self esteem and subsequent positivity.
I needn’t have worried. From the first contact that my wife Helen had with Michael and Iain, they were nothing but positive, supportive and empathetic. Meeting them in person simply reinforced this!

Michael was the answer to my prayers at a time when I was feeling vulnerable & low after being diagnosed with cervical cancer last summer. He met me after I'd lost most of my hair but instantly knew what would suit my Asian roots following a brief description of my lost hair!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Michael for the first class service I have received recently. About a month ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer and albeit very apprehensive to start treatment I was absolutely petrified at the thought of loosing my hair let alone trying to find a good quality wig.
Michael has changed all of that for me by providing a super wig that I feel confident in and help me still feel like a women during the hair loss process.
I can't believe how fantastic I felt when Michael found me a wig let I say within 5 minutes! The experience was so comfortable it made such a difference to a very delicate situation.

I would like to say a very big thank you to you for making what I thought was going to be a daunting experience, into one that was a pleasure. I arrived at your salon worried and emotional about the cancer treatment I was about to face and, very importantly, the loss of my hair. On my first visit I brought my daughters Emily and Nicola to give me support, and also to help me choose, and you made us all feel so welcome and at ease right from the outset.
I told you I needed to look in the mirror each day and see me and, I wanted friends and family to see as little difference in my hair as possible. You chose the perfect ‘hat with hair’ for me that both myself, and my daughters were amazed at the likeness. And, then having selected the style, you went on to select the perfect colour to match as near to my own hair
My husband Ken came with me for my final fitting and he was amazed how closely it matched my own hair and could see the confidence in my face as soon as you put on my new hat.
You obviously love what you do; you are kind, compassionate and very understanding of the needs of your clients. This shows from the time you enter your salon to the time you leave.
I left feeling confident; whilst I still had to face the treatment I no longer had to worry about losing my hair. I now go out each day with complete confidence in how I look; something I did not feel would be possible before I met you.

Hi, I am the lady who came with my Grandma Jean (she crawled up the stairs J ) She had been given three months to live and now the park private hospital are taking care of her, she has not been so good this last week but I wanted to let you know the day we left the salon she was on such a high I have not seen her so happy in the last year and its all down to the wig.
We left your salon and she kept the wig on we even went out for dinner and she made me drive her too all her childhood places in Nottingham and her school where she was born etc. She also fooled everyone including my Granddad that it was her own hair and you had just styled and coloured it for her as she had to wait for a wig then went surprise ha-ha I am only joking J.

Met Michael at kings mill hospital and he was lovely and so helpful. He picked out a wig that looked like my own hair,if my own hair was having an extremely good day. He offered good advice and when I was happy with the style and colour he styled the wig slightly so it was like my own hair was cut. I am waiting to see what happens with my hair now I have started chemo using cold cap so I am pleased I have the wig ready to be used when needed. He has offered ongoing advice and styling if needed and although I wish I didn't need the service he made the whole experience less daunting. Michael, I bought my mum to see you last Tuesday. She is an amazingly strong willed lady who has dealt with a mastectomy fantastically well but, when faced with chemotherapy and the prospect of months of no hair, she lost all confidence and had almost decided that as she is 74 years old, she probably would not proceed with treatment. I booked an appointment to see you and she came along saying she would look but would probably not buy. I have to say you were amazing and gave her the confidence to face the public with a wig (her experience of seeing wigs in hospital had scared the life out of her! They were dodgy in the extreme!) The wig she bought from you was so close to her own hair that she fooled my dad, brother and sister in law (an ex hairdresser), none of them noticed her new hair!. It's a daunting thing having a wig fitted but from the moment you enter Michael's salon you are made to feel at home. A cup of coffee, plenty of time to choose, friendly service, complete privacy, sound advice and a good listening ear (also great recipes for genuine Italian lasagne!) and definitely NO pressurised selling. I arrived at your salon worried and emotional about the cancer treatment I was about to face and, very importantly, the loss of my hair. On my first visit I brought my daughters Emily and Nicola to give me support, and also to help me choose, and you made us all feel so welcome and at ease right from the outset.
I told you I needed to look in the mirror each day and see me and, I wanted friends and family to see as little difference in my hair as possible. You chose the perfect ‘hat with hair’ for me that both myself, and my daughters were amazed at the likeness. And, then having selected the style, you went on to select the perfect colour to match as near to my own hair
My husband Ken came with me for my final fitting and he was amazed how closely it matched my own hair and could see the confidence in my face as soon as you put on my new hat.

Hi, I am the lady who came with my Grandma Jean (she crawled up the stairs J ) She had been given three months to live and now the park private hospital are taking care of her, she has not been so good this last week but I wanted to let you know the day we left the salon she was on such a high I have not seen her so happy in the last year and its all down to the wig.

Met Michael at kings mill hospital and he was lovely and so helpful. He picked out a wig that looked like my own hair,if my own hair was having an extremely good day. He offered good advice and when I was happy with the style and colour he styled the wig slightly so it was like my own hair was cut. I am waiting to see what happens with my hair now I have started chemo using cold cap so I am pleased I have the wig ready to be used when needed. He has offered ongoing advice and styling if needed and although I wish I didn't need the service he made the whole experience less daunting. She is an amazingly strong willed lady who has dealt with a mastectomy fantastically well but, when faced with chemotherapy and the prospect of months of no hair, she lost all confidence and had almost decided that as she is 74 years old, she probably would not proceed with treatment. I booked an appointment to see you and she came along saying she would look but would probably not buy. I have to say you were amazing and gave her the confidence to face the public with a wig (her experience of seeing wigs in hospital had scared the life out of her! They were dodgy in the extreme!) The wig she bought from you was so close to her own hair that she fooled my dad, brother and sister in law (an ex hairdresser), none of them noticed her new hair!.
